Tara and Avyansh’s Bedroom – Morning
The room looked like it belonged on the cover of a luxury magazine elegant, dark wood, navy and gold accents, velvet curtains, and a large mirror near the wardrobe where Avyansh stood, fixing his cufflinks. He looked as sharp and deadly as ever in his suit, jaw clenched, expression like stone.
Tara, wearing a soft cotton saree with her hair loosely tied, moved around the room quietly. She was picking up his wallet, his watch, his phone charger all the little things he never said thank you for, but expected in place.
She walked quickly toward the dresser, not realizing Avyansh had just taken a half-step back.
And suddenly
Thud.
She stumbled hard into him her ankle twisting sharply beneath her.
“Aahh.!” Tara gasped, her body crashing toward the marble floor.
She landed on one knee, gripping her foot in pain. Her eyes welled with tears instantly.
Avyansh turned around, not helping, not even offering a hand.
“Seriously?” he said in a sharp, mocking tone.
“Itni desperate ho tum mujhe chhoone ke liye ke pair hi tod diya?”
(Are you that desperate to touch me you had to break your leg for it?)
Tara gritted her teeth, still holding her ankle. Her breathing was shallow. She didn't reply.
“Utho. Don’t create a scene,” he barked.
His voice didn’t hold even a speck of concern only irritation.
“Avyansh… mera ankle… twist ho gaya hai,” she said quietly, trying to lift herself using the nearby stool for support.
(Avyansh… I twisted my ankle…)
He rolled his eyes and grabbed his watch from the table beside her without so much as a glance.
“Good. Sit at home and cry about it like you always do.”
Tara finally managed to get on her feet, leaning against the wall for balance. Pain shot up her leg, but she held it in, refusing to show weakness. Not in front of him. Not again.
“Tumne dekha bhi nahi… kya main theek hoon ya nahi,” she muttered under her breath.
(You didn’t even check… if I’m okay or not.)
He stopped near the door, back still facing her.
“Kya farak padta hai? Tum ho kya mere liye?”
(Why would I care? What are you to me?)
A pin-drop silence filled the room.
He left without another word, the door slamming behind him.
Tara slid down to the floor, her fingers digging into her ankle as tears finally spilled over.
Not from pain.
But from the realization that he would never care.
Or so she thought.

Raghuvanshi Industries – Boardroom
The boardroom was a sleek, glass-walled palace of power polished marble floors, a long black obsidian table, and high-backed chairs that reeked of authority.
Rajveer Raghuvanshi sat at the head of the table, a vision of control and calm in his charcoal suit, sharp eyes scanning the screen where the final numbers of the quarter were being projected.
Avyansh sat to his right, fingers tapping impatiently, gaze impassive.
Yuvaan, as always, was seated a little further down, laptop open, his jaw clenched as he reviewed the data Jaanvi had prepared.
And beside him…
Jaanvi, dressed in a formal black kurta and beige trousers, sat quietly with her files and notes in perfect order. Despite the exhaustion still written all over her face, she sat poised a picture of quiet efficiency.
And beside her…
Sat Vivaan, the arrogant, spoiled son of their newest international collaborator a deal too important to risk offending. He was in his late twenties, reeking of money and entitlement. And right now…
His hand was on her thigh.
Under the table. Slow, deliberate.
Jaanvi froze.
Her pen slipped slightly in her hand. She gripped it tighter. Her breathing quickened, but she didn’t flinch or look at him. She couldn’t afford a scene. Not here. Not now.
Across the table, Yuvaan’s eyes flicked to her.
He noticed it.
He saw everything.
His eyes narrowed just slightly as Vivaan’s hand moved again, brushing further up her leg under the tablecloth.
Jaanvi noticed Yuvaan noticing.
Their eyes met for the briefest second.
She silently begged him with her eyes.
Say something. Please.
But Yuvaan?
He looked away.
No reaction. No anger. No outrage.
Just… cold indifference.
As if she didn’t matter.
Jaanvi’s heart clenched. She could feel shame crawling up her throat like acid. Her ears rang, and her hands trembled under the desk. She wanted to scream. Slap the man. Run.
But she just sat there, burning.
Alone.
Rajveer’s voice broke the silence.
“Excellent. Jaanvi, the data is clear. As expected. Good work.”
She forced a nod, her voice hoarse.
“Th–thank you, sir.”
Vivaan smirked beside her, leaning in a little and whispering under his breath,
“You’re very efficient… and soft.”
Jaanvi’s nails dug into her palm, her lips trembling.
And still Yuvaan said nothing.
Later That Day
The glass tower of Raghuvanshi Industries glittered under the Delhi sun, but behind its sleek walls, Jaanvi’s world was crumbling quietly.
After the presentation, she avoided eye contact with anyone. She had finished her notes, filed the minutes, organized the reports, and returned to Yuvaan's office like a silent shadow. Her hands still trembled when she reached for the keyboard.
She could still feel Vivaan’s disgusting touch on her thigh. And worse Yuvaan’s cold, deliberate silence.
Yuvaan’s Office – 7:30 PM
The office was nearly empty. Only the click of keys and distant hum of the AC filled the silence. Jaanvi sat on the side desk, organizing the paperwork from today’s meeting.
Yuvaan stood with his back to her, arms crossed, eyes fixed on the skyline outside the floor-to-ceiling glass.
Then without turning
“You really are something, aren’t you?”
His voice was calm. Too calm.
Jaanvi looked up, startled.
“Sir…?”
He turned around slowly, jaw tight, eyes burning with contempt.
“What were you trying to prove today?”
“I....I don’t understand…” she stammered.
“Of course you don’t.” He scoffed.
“Flirting with Vivaan like some desperate gold-digger in the middle of a board meeting. How cheap can you be, Jaanvi?”
Her eyes widened in disbelief.
“I wasn’t flirting! Hehe was touching me under the table”
SLAM.
He smashed his palm on the desk, making her flinch.
“Don’t lie to me!” he shouted.
“You were smiling at him. Letting him touch you like it’s nothing! Acting like some attention-hungry little slut just to catch a powerful man’s eye?”
Her lips quivered.
“I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to cause a scene. I was ”
“Exactly,” he hissed, stepping closer, his voice low and cruel.
“Because you liked the attention. That’s who you are, isn’t it? Acting innocent on the surface but rotten inside. Just like the day you married me. I should’ve known you were this cheap.”
Tears spilled down her cheeks.
“I didn’t ask for any of this… I was scared…”
“You disgust me.”
His voice cut like a blade.
“Don’t show your face in my office tomorrow. I don’t want my clients to think I keep whores for secretaries.”
She gasped, pressing a hand to her mouth, shattered.
He walked past her, brushing her shoulder as he grabbed his phone and car keys.
At the door, he paused.
“Go back to the gutter you came from, Jaanvi. Don’t pretend to be a queen when you’ll always be dirt.”
He slammed the door behind him.
And for a long moment… she just stood there.
Silent. Shaking. Broken.
...............
Midnight – Jaanvi’s Phone Buzzes
It was well past midnight.
Jaanvi lay on the cold guest room bed, her back aching, eyes swollen, and heart heavy with Yuvaan’s cruel words still echoing in her head. Her laptop still blinked in sleep mode, her unfinished presentation forgotten.
Suddenly
Buzz. Buzz. Buzz.
Her phone lit up.
Unknown Number.
She frowned and picked it up, her thumb hesitating.
> Vivaan:
“Hey beautiful. Missed you after the meeting.”
Her blood ran cold.
Another ping.
> Vivaan:
“You should smile more. You looked so sexy all nervous. I was hard the entire meeting 😘”
Jaanvi’s fingers shook violently.
Another message.
> Vivaan:
“Let’s keep this fun just between us, hmm? One dinner. One night. And maybe your bose will get that deal he’s so desperate for.”
Her breath caught in her throat.
Tears burned her eyes again not out of sadness, but pure helpless rage.
She wanted to scream. To break the phone. To tell someone. But who?
Yuvaan?
The same man who called her a whore just hours ago?
The man who watched it happen and still walked away?
No one would stand up for her. Not in this world. Not in this family.
And yet… something in her snapped.
She stood up and walked slowly to the bathroom, locked the door, and splashed cold water on her face.
Looking into the mirror, she whispered to herself:
“Tu kamzor nahi hai, Jaanvi… you can survive this
.................
Raghuvanshi Industries – Next Morning
The towering boardroom was silent, filled with the crisp rustle of papers and cold glares.
Rajveer sat at the head of the table, stone-faced. Avyansh, beside him, looked half-bored, half-annoyed. Yuvaan was seated farther down, reviewing the presentation with a clenched jaw. Next to him sat Jaanvi, dressed simply, eyes tired but focused.
Across the table, Vivaan, again , leaned back arrogantly, his smirk never fading.
Under the table, his hand boldly slid over to Jaanvi’s thigh.
Jaanvi froze.
Not again
Her breathing hitched. Her fists clenched in her lap.
She didn’t react she couldn’t. Not here. Not in front of everyone. She shifted away, subtly, her face composed but her heart pounding.
Across from her, Yuvaan noticed. Every movement. Every flicker of panic in her eyes.
Their eyes met for a second.
Jaanvi silently pleaded Don’t misunderstand. Don’t believe him.
But Yuvaan’s face turned colder than ice.
He didn’t stop Vivaan.
He didn’t say a word.
Again....

Yuvaan’s Cabin – Later That Day
The door burst open.
Yuvaan dragged Jaanvi inside by the wrist, his grip bruising, his rage palpable.
“So this is what you’ve become now?” he snarled.
Jaanvi looked at him, confused, scared.
“W-What?”
“Flirting under the table? Letting men touch you? You’re not even trying to hide it now!”
Jaanvi’s eyes widened in horror.
“No! I didn’t he....he touched me! I didn’t want it!”
“Oh really?” he laughed bitterly.
“Vivaan told me everything. The looks, the texts. You wanted his attention, didn’t you? You want every man’s attention.”
Tears filled her eyes.
“That’s not true! I never messaged him! I didn’t even speak to him he lied, Yuvaan! Why would you believe him over me?”
“Because I know women like you,” he spat.
“So desperate for validation, for power, you’d even sleep your way to it.”
She flinched like he’d slapped her.
Her voice broke. “I deleted his messages. I stayed quiet because I didn’t want drama. I thought maybe… maybe for once, you’d stand up for me. But I was wrong.”
Yuvaan’s glare didn’t soften.
“You’re nothing but a filthy gold-digger. That’s what you’ve always been.”
She stood there shattered.
Chest heaving. Hands shaking.
And yet… strong.
“Then fire me,” she whispered.
“Throw me out. Humiliate me more. But one day, Yuvaan… you’ll hate yourself for this.”
She didn’t cry in front of him.
She just turned and walked out.
Hallway Outside the Cabin
Jaanvi pressed her back to the cold wall, breathing hard, wiping her tears quickly before anyone could see.
She looked up, eyes burning.
This wasn’t just pain anymore.
It was the beginning of a storm.
.................
Yuvaan’s Cabin – Moments After Jaanvi Left
The room was silent.
Yuvaan stood still, fists clenched, breathing hard.
He had just thrown venom at her again. Just like always.
But this time… something felt different.
He turned toward his desk, about to grab another file but his eyes landed on something else.
Jaanvi’s notebook.
She must have forgotten it in her rush.
He reached for it carelessly, but the second he opened it…
His breath caught.
Inside were handwritten notes.
Detailed. Precise. With little stars and margin sketches.
One of them said:
> “Reminder: print the final proposal for Yuvaan Sir by 8 am sharp. He doesn’t like delays.”
Another:
> “Make sure coffee is at the exact temperature. He was extra tired today.”
And then…
A small sticky note tucked into the back.
Her handwriting. Faint. Barely there.
> “If I can survive one more day… maybe one day he’ll see I was never the villain.”
Yuvaan’s chest tightened.
His jaw clenched.
He dropped the notebook like it burned him.
Yuvaan Alone – Late That Night
It was nearly midnight.
The office was empty now, quiet except for the low hum of the city outside.
Yuvaan sat alone in his cabin, lights dimmed. The same notebook sat on the edge of his desk.
He hadn’t sent her another message.
He hadn’t asked if she got home safe.
He hadn’t said sorry.
But he remembered how her eyes looked pleading, full of unshed tears, and worse… disappointed.
That disappointment hit him harder than any slap.
He leaned back in his chair, rubbing his temple. His usual confidence, his cold arrogance… gone.
All he could hear in his mind was her voice:
> “You never trusted me to begin with.”
Maybe she was right.
But he'd never admit it.
Instead, he whispered into the dark
“Why the hell do you affect me like this…”
His own voice sounded foreign. Hollow.
But the guilt had already started its slow, silent crawl through his heart.

Raghuvanshi Mansion – Kitchen Area, Morning
The sharp clinking of utensils echoed through the cold marble halls. Tara limped slowly into the kitchen, wincing with every step.
Her ankle was twisted and swollen, courtesy of Avyansh’s careless revenge from the night before. But of course, no one cared.
She hadn’t told anyone. She couldn’t.
Because pain, here, was a luxury they weren’t allowed to acknowledge.
Her lavender saree was slightly wrinkled from the restless night. She held onto the counter as she stirred the dal, trying not to cry out as the pressure on her foot increased.
Just then
Manisha stormed in, followed by Malika and Anika, their usual morning expressions of contempt already carved into their faces.
“Tara!” Manisha’s voice cracked like thunder.
“Zameen mein pair ghuse jaa rahe hain kya? Chalti kyun nahi jaldi?”
( Is your feet getting under the ground, why aren't you walking fast)
Tara flinched, biting the inside of her cheek to stay quiet. “Woh… dadi … bas thoda ”
( Woh...Dadi actually)
Malika cut in, eyes sharp. “Thoda kya? Abhi se kaam se bhaag rahi ho? Tumhari maa ne toh bahut tameez sikhayi hai tumhe!”
( A bit what?, your are trying to run Away from work, your mother teached you a lot manners right?)
Tara lowered her eyes.
Every step was torture, but she didn’t say a word.
Anika scoffed loudly, arms crossed over her chest. “Royal family ki beti hai na? Isiliye kaam karna pasand nahi. Chhoti si chot mein drama kar rahi hai jaise operation hua ho!”
( She belongs to a rich family right? That's why she don't like working, she is acting like she had a operation instead if a small injury)
Tara gripped the ladle tighter to steady herself.
"Woh chaahe raja ki beti ho ya naukrani ki, yahan pe sirf bahu hai," Manisha snapped. “Aur ek achhi bahu dard ki nahi, sirf Ghar ki parwah karti hai.”
( Whether she is a king’s daughter or a servant’s, here she is only a daughter-in-law. And a good daughter-in-law doesn’t care about her own pain, only about the household.)
Tara looked up, pain flashing in her eyes.
But she simply nodded.
"Ji Dadi ."
Lavanya, from the other side of the kitchen, noticed Tara’s limp. She moved toward her, placing a hand on her back gently. “Tara, I’ll take over tum baith jao thodi der ke liye.”
( Tara I will take care over here, you go rest for a bit )
But before Tara could answer
Manisha’s voice sliced through again.
“Zyada pyar mat barsao Lavanya. Yahi wajah hai ki ye ladkiyan sir pe chadh jaati hain.”
(“Don’t shower too much love, Lavanya. This is exactly why these girls start getting out of hand.”)
Tara held her breath.
Even kindness came with consequences here.
Veer Peeks In – A Ray of Innocence
Just then, little Veer peeked into the kitchen, rubbing
his eyes sleepily.
“choti Chachi aap ro rahi ho?” he asked innocently.
( Aunty.. why are you crying)
Tara quickly wiped the corner of her eyes and forced a smile. “Nahi, mera sher. Bas pyaaz kaat rahi hoon.”
(“No, my lion. I’m just chopping onions.”)
Veer walked over and gently hugged her leg right where it hurt the most.
She winced again. But instead of pain, she let out a soft laugh and patted his head.
Because in this house, only Veer’s love was pure.
