Thirty one

Rajveer's fingers drummed against his phone with growing impatience, his jaw tight, the morning sun streaming through the living room windows unable to warm the icy tension coiling inside him. He dialed Lavanya's number again. Call failed. Not reachable. His hand clenched into a fist, knuckles whitening, and he slammed the phone down on the armrest with a controlled fury. This was no ordinary morning, and he could feel it down to his bones.

The thought of Lavanya his Lavanya being unreachable for even a moment made his heart spike in panic and possessiveness. She had always been careful, always precise... and now she was missing without a word. His chest tightened, each breath shallow and sharp. Something was off. He didn't know what, but instinct screamed at him that this wasn't just an innocent morning errand.
